MCC opens season with rout (Nov. 1, 2009)

MCC won it's season opener Sunday afternoon, defeating the University of Waterloo 95-47 on Monagan Court.

Krystal Parnell and Deree Fooks earned All-American honors from the Women's Basketball Coaches Association.

2003 — National Third Place (27-4)

With four national championships, Monroe Community College has had one of the most successful women's basketball programs in the nation over the past 15 years. During that span more than 50 players have transferred to NCAA Division I colleges and universities (Syracuse, Pittsburgh, Miami (Fla.), and Temple to name a few). Many others have transferred to competitive Division II and III programs.

In an effort to gain exposure and play the best competition, Monroe travels all over the United States to play. This travel also allows four-year schools from around the country to see the Lady Tribunes' talent.

Many former Tribunes have moved on to other colleges and universities.
